Upload as much information as you can: the pitch deck, financials, founder bios, cap table, product notes and anything else that tells the story. Fill in the details, choose the stage, add your files and select Score this startup. Nine metrics are scored against what investors weigh at that stage and roll up into four categories: Market, Execution, Economics and Team.

2 · Metrics & weights
Metrics & weights
The stage decides which metrics carry weight. By default Team carries 32% of the weight at Angel and 8% at Series B, while Economics grows from 6% to 44%.
Weights by stage
How the default weights and bars were set
The Angel column starts from the angel scorecard method, which gives the management team the largest share (up to 30%), then market size (25%) and product (15%).
Research on early-stage investors finds they respond more strongly to team information than to traction, so team weight falls steadily as the company matures.
Series A bars use 2026 benchmark roundups: ARR of $1–3M, growth of 2–3× a year, net revenue retention above 100%, gross margin above 70%, LTV:CAC above 3 and CAC payback under 18 months.
Series B shifts to efficiency: burn multiple under 1.5×, Rule of 40 above 40, and net revenue retention of 110–120% or more.
No published dataset gives the exact weights used by the top 10% of firms. These defaults are a synthesis of published research and common practice, so treat them as a starting point.
Benchmarks are written for software. For other business models the benchmarks are translated to the closest equivalent, for example GMV, take rate and liquidity for a marketplace.
